Our company has been purchased. As part of the rollup, our company name will change to theirs and our website will be removed with all web presence being a basic landing page.

I am looking for ideas on how to minizine the huge SEO losses we will have soon.

I plan to focus on local SEO starting with GMB. Any other tips or direction?

To update your company name, website URL, and Google My Business (GMB) listing, access your GMB dashboard, make the required alterations, and potentially re-verify your business. Ensure consistent updates across online platforms, considering SEO and legal aspects. A rebranding strategy might be necessary. Monitor reviews patiently as these changes might take time to propagate across search results and directories.

Congratulations on the company acquisition! Managing the SEO transition is crucial. Your plan to prioritize local SEO and Google My Business (GMB) is spot on. Additionally, consider maintaining social media presence, updating online directories, and redirecting old web pages to the new landing page for a smoother transition.

@jgoethert That is a huge change for your business, if you are not only rebranding but also losing your website. Sterling Sky has a good checklist for rebrands here: https://www.sterlingsky.ca/rebranding-your-business-checklist/

I am curious regarding the role of the website in this. If the GBP (formerly GMB) listing is going to be pointed to the new owner's website, it will be their domain authority which underpins the listing's rankings. If, however they are going to continue pointing the listing toward the downgraded old website, that's a big problem. If that's the case, you will want to be sure that permanent redirects are being put in place to pass as much ranking power as possible from the old pages to the remaining home page. The company should definitely be investigating all of their SEO options to protect the strength of the brand they've acquired, insomuch as it can support the visibility of the overall new brand.

Unsolved Drop in organic rankings but we cant work out why

                  local seo

Hi, we are an SEO agency with over 10 years experience. We have always used white hat methods, we have only ever built quality links, and written quality content marketing. We have consistently had good organic ranking's in Google. The website recently moved back in the serps, not just a bit but absolutely massively. We cant work out why, we cant justify why neither. We are wondering if any SEO experts know why such moves exist, even if you follow white hat methods?

Unsolved Our SEO agency has substantially moved back within Google’s SERP’s, but we can't figure out why.

                  local seo

We have followed the guidance of [Google EEAT] and Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. However, our [Cardiff SEO company] has moved back substantially in the SERPs; the links and content marketing are good, yet we substantially back on Google’s SERPS by over 30 places and we have no clue why. We don’t know why; we are an SEO agency with over ten years of SEO experience, we never have had this happen to us, and can't figure out why our business has moved back to Google. If there are any SEO experts here, we would appreciate your help. We called Walsh and Partners, we are a white hat seo company based in Cardiff, South Wales, any help we would be so grateful.

Should I split long form content?

                  seo tactics content development optimization

I have quite a long content on my site. By length I mean around 8000-9000 words. I optimized it to cover almost all searches related to a topic. But this length makes me uneasy for some reason. I do not think that users will find what they are looking for in such a long content. However, I don't want to neglect the SEO aspect of the content. I can talk about something like this without sharing the keywords completely: Title + for girls Title + for boys Title + for kids Title + for girlfriend Title + for boyfriend Title + for students As I said, in the current situation, these are all sub-headings (H2) of 8000-9000-word content. When I make a separate content for each of them, I can bring them all closer to 1500-2000 words. However, I am undecided whether this is the right step in terms of SEO and content optimization. What are your views?

                  seo tactics algorithm update

Will AMP be effective in 2022? I am thinking of using AMP on my website since Core Web Vitals has become a ranking factor. For mobile devices, I guess AMP would be a good option to align with the Core Web Vital update.

Can I sync our local listing in Moz with a Google My Busines listing when there are multiple GMB listings?

We working a healthcare facility that has over 30 listings set up in Google My Business, individual listings for each doctor and other healthcare professionals. We are trying to sync with Google My Business, but continue to receive a message about being unable to validate the listing. We've ensured that the information matches in each listing. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any advice on how to get it to sync. I've looked through support documents and not found anything that has helped.

Creating Listings For Doctors and Dentist aside from the Business Name

What is the best way to create listings for Doctors/Dentist and keep them from showing as duplicates. Should they just have there name without the company name in the title but yet the address and same phone or no separate listing at all. I have noticed in Moz Local that these show as duplicates when listed in this format. Thanks Scott

                  Business Name Change

What if my business name has recently changed. How do I get rid of all the listing information under the old name and have it changed to the new name. My business phone number, address, website and everything else is still the same, i just changed the business name and want my information and business name to show up instead of the old one still showing.
