Hello! We have a client whose parent website is in Japan. The us site lives on a US subdomain. Google is pulling the Japanese company name into US search results. Any idea how we can fix this?

Google might be showing the Japanese name due to:

Hreflang Tags: Ensure correct use for language and region.
Google My Business: Update with the correct name and location.
        Search Console: Check for issues.
Content Localization: Ensure U.S. site content is distinct.
Meta Tags: Verify they reflect the correct name.
These changes might take time to reflect.

To fix Google showing the Japanese company name in US search results:

Update Meta Tags: Ensure they include the correct US company name.
Use hreflang Tags: Specify language and regional targeting.
Submit Sitemap: Ensure Google indexes the right pages.
Check Google Search Console: Look for issues affecting indexing.
These steps should help correct the issue.

Google displays translated business names in SERPs (search engine results pages) to improve the user experience for multilingual visitors, making it easier for them to understand and engage with businesses from different language backgrounds. This practice aims to improve the accessibility and relevance of search results, reach a global audience, and foster intercultural communication and commerce.

@SimpleSearch First, you can set the target country in Google Search Console for your US subdomain as the United States. Go to the "Settings" section in your Google Search Console account and select "International Targeting". Then, choose the country you want to target for your US subdomain (in this case, the United States) and submit the changes. This tells Google that your site is intended for US users.
You can also use hreflang tags to indicate your content's language and country/region. This helps Google understand which version of your site to show to users in different countries.
Another option is to add a canonical tag on your US subdomain pages that specifies the US subdomain as the primary version. This helps Google understand which version of the content to display in search results.
Finally, improving the quality and relevance of your content on the US subdomain, as well as building high-quality backlinks from US-based websites, can help improve the visibility of the US subdomain in US search results.
Be patient, as changes may take time to take effect. If the issue persists, consult an SEO specialist.

                ranking issue serps

I was using the Yoast plugin and for more than ten years and my keywords were always in the top twenty with many in the top five. I then moved over to rank math plugin and things were fine. Then i saw all my posts and pages go our of serps with not a single page in seps. I looked at the plugin and saw that it was still working fine but my subscription ran out two months previous. none of my brand news articles appear in serps. All my posts are indexed but not one of them in serps and not one of my keywords are ranked. Can anyone please let me know what to do to solve this

Added a canonical ref tag and SERPs tanked, should we change it back?

canonical indexing serps canonical duplicate url issue

My client's CMS uses an internal linking structure that includes index.php at the end of the URLs. The site also works using SEO-friendly URLs without index.php, so the SEO tool identified a duplicate content issue. Their marketing team thought the pages with index.php would have better link equity and rank higher, so they added a canonical ref tag, making the index.php version of the pages the canonical page. As a result, the site dropped in the rankings by a LOT and has not recovered in the last 3-months. It appears that Google had automatically selected the SEO-friendly URLs as the canonical page, and by switching, it re-indexed the entire site. The question we have is, should they change it back? Or will this cause the site to be reindexed again, resulting in an even lower ranking?

How Can I influence the Google Selected Canonical

                canonical ranking issue subdomain indexation

Our company recently rebranded and launched a new website. The website was developed by an overseas team and they created the test site on their subdomain. The only problem is that Google crawled and indexed their site and ours. I noticed Google indexed their sub domain ahead of our domain and based on Search Console it has deemed our content as the duplicate of theirs and the Google selected theirs as the canonical.
The website in question is https://www.spaziointerni.us
What would be the best course of action to get our content ranked and selected instead of being marked as the duplicate?
Not sure if I have to modify the content to make it more unique or have them submit a removal in their search console.
Our indexed pages continue to go down due to this issue.
                Any help is greatly appreciated.

                serps ranking issue

Hi all, I am facing an ranking issue, I am trying to rank on a query:
"Recruitment Agencies In Pakistan for Saudi Arabia" Google is ranking me correctly #1 in singular version on the query, but not in plural version. Even my competitors in SERP's are same and ranking correctly on both teams. And yes, the real/in-search keyword is ""Recruitment Agencies In Pakistan for Saudi Arabia" and not the "Recruitment Agency In Pakistan for Saudi Arabia" I have gone through my on-page and off page but sill can't find the solution. Here is the image of current SERP's: "Recruitment Agencies In Pakistan for Saudi Arabia"
1.jpg "Recruitment Agency In Pakistan for Saudi Arabia"
2.jpg Can anyone please guide me on this, like what should i do?

Page Title Displaying Wrong Company Name in Google Search Results

google search page title google search engine results

Currently, in some of our keyword search results, the wrong company name is showing up in the page title. We are a family of companies that all provide different modes of transportation. When we search up "Herc Air Charters" in Google Search Engine, the wrong operating company shows up in the page title (see screenshot, second result: "Lynden Transport" is our trucking company, and does not offer any air charter, this should say "Lynden Air Cargo"). Google decides what is best to put in these titles, so what would be the best way to ensure the correct company name is being displayed? Google Search Issue.PNG
