I was using the Yoast plugin and for more than ten years and my keywords were always in the top twenty with many in the top five. I then moved over to rank math plugin and things were fine. Then i saw all my posts and pages go our of serps with not a single page in seps.

I looked at the plugin and saw that it was still working fine but my subscription ran out two months previous.

none of my brand news articles appear in serps. All my posts are indexed but not one of them in serps and not one of my keywords are ranked.

Can anyone please let me know what to do to solve this

I also think this i due to the latest Google update. Many websites have lost their traffic and many post have disappeared even if they are as you say indexed. I would start as mentioned above by checking Google search console, if there are no errors then i belive this is a sign of bad quality content and would recommend to go throw your articles to se if they really give the user what they searched for.

If your posts have vanished from SERPs, it can be due to various reasons such as algorithm updates, penalties, or technical issues on your website. Start by checking Google Search Console for any messages or warnings. Ensure your site complies with Google's guidelines, fix any potential issues like broken links or duplicate content, and consider updating and optimizing your content. You might also want to audit your backlinks and remove any low-quality ones.

For professional help, consider consulting with an experienced SEO company like *Softsolstechnologies**. They can provide a thorough analysis and implement strategies to help recover your rankings.

Hi there, so there have been some massive Google algorithm updates recently.

There was one in March, there was one called the *Google helpful content update*. So, these were huge massive Google updates.

Now it could be that during the ranking flux, after the update rolled out had rolled out, it substantially changed where your business ranks on Google.

Do contact an SEO company for advice, it might mean posts need improving, to make them rank higher, does this help you?

Unsolved Wild fluctuations in ranking, any thoughts on why or what to do about it?

                ranking issue keyword rankings

We have a keyword which is important to us and used to have rock steady rankings for over a decade. Over the past 9 months or so it has been fluctuating all over the place. Jumping up or down 20 places or so overnight. Any thoughts on this behaviour and what we should be doing to stabilise the ranking?Screenshot 2024-05-13 at 09.47.jpg

                keep short posts?

                short post

From an SEO standpoint, is it worth keeping a blog post that only has a few images and a few sentences? I think the post was meant to be a 'Recent Work' type of a post, but there's only a few images in it and a few short sentences. I'm thinking they're basically useless since I've created an image gallery elsewhere and I'm tempted to delete them.

How Can I influence the Google Selected Canonical

                canonical ranking issue subdomain indexation

Our company recently rebranded and launched a new website. The website was developed by an overseas team and they created the test site on their subdomain. The only problem is that Google crawled and indexed their site and ours. I noticed Google indexed their sub domain ahead of our domain and based on Search Console it has deemed our content as the duplicate of theirs and the Google selected theirs as the canonical.
The website in question is https://www.spaziointerni.us
What would be the best course of action to get our content ranked and selected instead of being marked as the duplicate?
Not sure if I have to modify the content to make it more unique or have them submit a removal in their search console.
Our indexed pages continue to go down due to this issue.
                Any help is greatly appreciated.

                Big Ranking fluctuations

                ranking issue rankings keyword rankings

Hi all, 👉 we need your help/expertise. For a longer period of time we (https://bluebillywig.com) experience huge increases and decreases on a day/week ly basis for our keywords. We are moving from positions in the top 3 to positions in the top 50. The site has been fully screened for technical issues, indexation problems and we have also checked the positions of competitors (where we do not see the fluctuations). Example keywords where we see the issue: Gepersonaliseerde video Video content protection. See screenshots example bbw.png BBW-example.png If somebody has any suggestions, let us know.
Thank you so much for your time and advice.

How to Get a New Organic SERP Image Pack

                serp seo image optimisation

I have been doing a little on-page SEO on our site today and came across the following images embedded within organic SERPs, please see the screenshot. Obviously the users eye is drawn to these and therefore they are likely to result in more clicks. It would be great to know what they are called and how to go about getting these for our own results? If we managed to implement these across our site it would make a big difference for us, as working in the travel space, images are so strong when painting a picture of the destination. Thanks

Shopify SEO - Collection or Blog post for ecomm seo?

                shopify ecommerce seo tactics

Hi Moz folks, would love your thoughts on benefits of Shopify collection pages v blog posts for ranking secondary shopping keywords not suitable for existing shop pages - all help gratefully received, we are going down a rabbit hole on this one and need some sanity! So, we’re updating our site which already has a reasonable seo foundation and are looking to rank better for key shopping search keywords in our space (d2c sports nutrition). My question is should we prioritise store collection pages (category pages in Shopify terms) or blog posts for some of the main keywords not already covered by our core in-store collections/categories? Priority keywords already covered are things like protein powders, protein bars, energy drinks, etc. As context, we have a small product catalogue (10 products) and for easy navigation on site have these grouped into 7 collections/categories in the main menu and available from the homepage. All are quality high volume and high intent shopping keywords for our business. The secondary terms we are now looking to add content for are things like marathon nutrition, vegan sports nutrition, etc so now need to choose if we create product collection pages for these, or use blog posts to do the work. The advantage of collections, we believe, is that Google is likely to prioritise these in search. The disadvantage from a UX point of view is that more categories in store could make our simple and clear product range (10 products only) look complex or repetitive. Conversely, a blog post removes any UX confusion with too many categories, but we have a conversion rate issue with our blog. It performs well in search, but conversions are poor. We have addressed this with a new keyword targeting strategy and blog customisation, but we have yet to test this so while in theory it should work well, we do not know for certain. In summary: we want to rank key shopping keywords beyond our core ones we have - would you advise we use blog posts or product collection pages? All help gratefully received - thanks! Warren
