To reduce your website's spam score, focus on creating original, valuable content and using clean HTML code without hidden elements. Remove Toxic Backlinks: Use tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Moz to identify and disavow toxic or low-quality backlinks pointing to your site.

Improve Content Quality: Ensure all your content is original, high-quality, and relevant to your audience. Avoid duplicate content and thin content that provides little value.

Optimize On-Page SEO: Properly use meta tags, headers, and keywords without overstuffing. Ensure your website’s structure is clean and well-organized.

Check for Malware: Regularly scan your website for malware and other security issues. Use security plugins and keep your CMS, plugins, and themes updated.

Remove Hidden Text and Links: Ensure there are no hidden text or links on your site that could be considered deceptive by search engines.

Use Clean Code: Ensure your website’s code is clean and free from unnecessary or outdated elements. This helps with site speed and reduces the risk of hidden spam.

Fix Broken Links: Regularly check for and fix broken links on your site. Tools like Screaming Frog can help identify these.

Monitor User-Generated Content: If your website allows user-generated content, like comments or forum posts, ensure it’s moderated to prevent spammy or low-quality contributions.

Optimize for Mobile: Ensure your website is mobile-friendly and provides a good user experience on all devices.

Enhance Website Speed: Improve your site’s loading speed using techniques such as image optimization, leveraging browser caching, and minimizing HTTP requests.

Use SSL Certificate: Ensure your site uses HTTPS rather than HTTP to improve security and trustworthiness.

Improve Domain Authority: Work on building your domain authority by creating high-quality content and earning backlinks from reputable sources.

Check for Cloaking: Ensure you are not using cloaking, which means showing different content to search engines than to users. This is a major red flag for search engines.

Avoid Keyword Stuffing: Use keywords naturally within your content and avoid overstuffing, which can be seen as a spammy practice.

Regularly Audit Your Site: Perform regular SEO audits to catch and fix any issues before they become significant problems. Tools like SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs can help with this.

Remove all spamy backlinks to reduce your website spam score, this is the only method to reduce spam score quickly, it's my personal experience I reduced spam score from 30 to 9 of an website about blogging.
                                                        What I did:

                                                        • Analyze backlinks profile
                                                        • Make a list of spamy backlinks
                                                        • And remove all backlinks
                                                        • Finally spam score reduced to 9

Note: It may take 2 to 3 months.

                                                          Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on reducing the Spam Score (SS) for 6love. I have already disavowed some backlinks and optimized the application for faster loading times. However, I haven't seen a significant decrease in the Spam Score yet and I'm wondering if it just needs more time to reflect these changes. 🤡

I'm open to any suggestions or tips you might have to further decrease the SS. Are there other effective strategies I should consider? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

                                                          Thank you!

Recently, I've launched two websites. I want to make sure I'm doing a good job monitoring our link building efforts. I'm see a lot of tools out there to supplement my use of Open Site Explorer. What I want to know is what tools I should be using to monitor my links? My ultimate goal would be to have the data to track the number of links I'm adding a month so that I can use it for reporting. There is another layer. Because the sites are new, OSE is actually not reporting any links found. I can only find reported links through Google Search Console. Any advice? Is this something where I will just have to wait for everything to get indexed?

Some of them are just lists without links. Should I reach out and request a listing? I figure why not, It's not a link but is still a mention. Do mentions hold any value with search engines? I have a website that had been hit quite hard by the Google Penguin update, losing about 75% of its traffic. The website dropped to positions 300 - 400 for it's most significant keywords. The website had some unnatural links but not that much, maybe about 10 to 20 unnatural links and I've had them all removed about a month ago by the SEO company (submitcomfort.com). Another issue with this website is that it was hacked in early 2012 and hackers used a writeable directory to store porn stuff (my website has absolutely nothing to do with porn!). That said, the website acquired lots of backlinks from porn and warez websites. But today I noticed that impressions are now up by 23% and clicks are up by 54% according to Google Webmaster Tools and it's now ranking in positions 30 to 50 for it's main keywords. So my question is: was that a penalty that's just been lift off? How can it come back from the dead like this? I'm investigating before reinvesting time and money in this website because I'm not sure if this is temporary. Thank you

Our website has been experiencing a slow but steady decline in rankings despite our activity on social media platforms, is there any value in paying a large sum for bulk directory submission? Or will this only result in our overall website authority decreasing further due to unnatural links. Would really appreciate any help.

Now, there are a number of do's and dont's when it comes to internal linking, but do those rules apply to news websites that have to interlink relevant news stories, primarily based on their relevancy to the user and the value that they have to provide rather than keeping the idea of page rank sculpting in mind? What's your take on this?
